PURPOSE:To speed up processing by allowing a bit and a word arithmetic means to read and write data in and out of a storage on time-division basis. CONSTITUTION:A program counter 25 is driven by the output of an oscillator 24. The program counter 25 indicates addresses of a memory 29. Sequence control instructions are supplied to the bit arithmetic means 28 consisting of microprocessor. A gate unit 27 is controlled by the output of the oscillator 24 and the bit arithmetic means 28 and a bit data memory 26 are connected to perform the arithmetic of both. The word arithmetic means 10 operates independently according to a system program memory 22. The word arithmetic means 10 is operated during the period when the sequence instructions are read and written. Therefore, there is no influence upon the speed of the bit arithmetic means 28. |
