PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having both ultraviolet light absorbing ability in UV-A range and inhibitory effects on tyrosinase activity, containing kynurenine (derivative) or a salt thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cosmetic base is blended with about 0.1-10% compound shown by the formula (X is H, OH or saccharide group; R is H or lower alkyl) or a salt thereof. The cosmetic has extremely excellent safety and is useful for controlling stain and freckle, preventing sunburn, recovering the skin after sunburn and preventing or treating chromatodermatosis. Further addition of vitamin B2 and vitamin B6 raises effects more and blending of an UV-B absorber and a scattering agent can prevent ultraviolet rays in a wide range. |
