PURPOSE: To prevent the continuous generation of a musical sound not intended by a player by executing muting operation when the attenuation rate of an waveform signal level of the maximum or minimum peak value of an input waveform signal of which absolute value is larger than the other is more than a prescribed rate. CONSTITUTION: When the attenuation rate of an waveform signal level of the maximum or minimum peak value of an input waveform signal of which absolute value is larger than the other is more than a prescribed rate, muting operation is executed. Consequently an electronic instrument capable of detecting relative off even in the case of an input waveform signal of which one side is attenuated or an input waveform signal in an area having a small peak value and preventing the continuous generation of a musical sound not intended by a player. |
