PURPOSE:To improve potential stability at the time of durable use by using a specific azo pigment contg. a coupler component having a substd. vinyl group for a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body has the photosensitive layer contg. the azo pigment in which the org. residual group expressed by the formula I has the structure bonded to the substd. or unsubstd. arom. hydrocarbon ring or arom. heterocycle which may be bonded via a bond group. In the formula I, X denotes the residual group forming a polycyclic arom. ring or heterocycle by condensing with a benzene ring; R1 and R2 denote a hydrogen atom., alkyl group, acyl group, aryl group, aralkyl group or cyano group. R1, R2 may be the same or different; R3 denotes the arom. hydrocarbon ring or arom. heterocycle which may have a substituent. Either or both of the electric charge carrier generation efficiency and charge carrier transfer efficiency in the photosensitive layer contg. the azo pigment are thereby improved and the practicably high sensitivity characteristic and the stable potential characteristic in repetitive uses are obtd. |
