PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in electrostatic charge characteristics after repetitive uses by incorporating alkoxy methylated nylon into an electric charge generating layer. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body is constituted by providing the charge generating layer 13 on a conductive base body 11, then providing a charge transfer layer 14 thereon. The charge generating layer 13 is a layer which consists of a charge generating material as its chief material and is constituted of said material together with a binder resin. The alkoxy methylated nylon is used as the binder. The alkoxy methylated nylon has the structure expressed by the formula I. In the formula I, n, m are >=1 integer and R is preferably an alkyl group of 1-4C. The photosensitive body having improved rise of the electrostatic charge potential in particular is thus formed. |
