METHOD FOR JOINING BELT-LIKE METAL PLATES

PURPOSE:To increase strength of a welding joining part by carrying out welding and joining of belt-like metal plates together with a gradient of a specific angle to the width direction of the belt-like metal plates. CONSTITUTION:The tip 10A of the thin type belt-like metal plate 10 is cut with a gradient >=5 deg. to the width direction of the belt-like metal plate 10 by a pre-cutting device 18. On the other hand, the rear end 22A of the thick type belt-like metal plate 22 is formed so that it can be accurately abutted on the thin type belt-like metal plate 10. Welding equipment 24 is provided on the rear stage of the precutting device 18 and the tip 10A of the thin type belt-like metal plate 10 is held by a clamp 26 and the rear end 22A of the thick type belt-like metal plate 22 is held by a clamp 23. A rolling mill 32 is provided on the rear stage of the welding equipment 24 and a rolling roller 34 performs rolling of the mutual joining part 40 of the beltlike metal plate end faces 10A and as necessary.
