A process for the aftertreatment of dyed cellulosic fibre material for the improvement of wet fastness properties, comprising the use of an aqueous liquor which contains a polyquaternary ammonium compound obtained by the reaction of an epihalohydrin with a linear polymer which has repeating units of formula <IMAGE> (1) wherein R is C1-C6-alkyl.
