BIPOLAR TYPE WATER ELECTROLYTIC CELL

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain high-purity gas in a wide range over the amount of generated gas by controlling number of an electrolytic cell operated according to the amount of generated gas by actuation of a changeover switch. CONSTITUTION:A wiring 9 for short-circuit connected with the grounding conductor 5 of a laminated negative electrode 10 is provided to the laminated electrode of the position wherein a layer-built electrolytic cell 4 is divided into the prescribed number and also normally open changeover switches 9S1-9S3 are provided to the above-mentioned wiring 9. The number of the electrolytic cell operated according to the amount of generated gas is limited to both the cell 4 subjected to electrolysis and the cell 4 unsubjected to electrolysis by selectively turning on the switches 9S1-9S3. Thereby the cell 4 subjected to electrolysis is supplied with efficient cell current and high-purity gas can be generated and therefore high-purity gas can be obtained in a wide range over the amount of generated gas by changeover of the switches.
