PURPOSE:To achieve a higher separative power along with a shortened migration time, by dividing a pH range for analysis into multiple parts to arrange gel media in parallel relative to the direction of migration with respective pH ranges. CONSTITUTION:Gel media 3-1-3-4 are formed in parallel into grooves at a cassette case 5 made of insulating material. Here, a pH gradient is such that the gel medium 3-1 is pH 3-4, that 3-2 pH 5-6, that 3-3 pH 7-8 and that 3-4 pH 9-10. Then, a sample is absorbed by a filter paper 4 to be placed on the gel media 3-1-3-4 and an electrode is brought into contact with electrolytic liquids 6 and 7 to apply a migration voltage. This enables the shortening of migration time with a less length of the gel media thereby achieving a higher separative power with an enhanced potential gradient. |
