PURPOSE: To conveniently carry an electronic diagnostic instrument stored in a housing like a fountain pen while putting it in a pocket of a jacket and maintaining its diagnostic ability by providing an electronic evaluator and an electronic driver for graphic display unit and pressing a pickup electrode in contact with a skin of a patient. CONSTITUTION: Pickup electrodes 2 and 3 are attached outside the housing like a fountain pen and these electrodes are electrically connected to the electronic diagnostic instrument. By arranging the housing around the body of the patient, the electrodes 2 and 3 can touch the skin of the patient, the frequency of heartbeata, electrocardiogram (ECG) and the QRS group of the ECG can be picked up from the electrodes, and they can be suitably preamplifier and transferred to the electronic diagnostic instrument. This is available even in the case of electroencephalogram (EEG) or the like as well. Two pickup electrodes 2 and 3 are respectively arranged on the long face of a housing 1 near its front and rear terminal parts, and a graphic display unit 4 is arranged on the long face of the housing on the opposite side of the pickup electrodes 2 and 3. |
