<p>PURPOSE:To maintain air-tightness when exposed to heat, by providing in un even portion which a liner tightly contacts around the upper end face of a bottle mouth. CONSTITUTION:An assembly consists of a bottle mouth 1 and a cap 2 tightly which contacts the upper end surface of the mouth 1 by virtue of the deforma tion of a liner 4 set inside a main body 3 assembled to the mouth 1. An uneven portion 5 is provided on the upper end surface of the mouth 1 so as to be close contact with the liner 4. If the uneven portion 5 is in the form of a recessed groove, a bypass groove 6 is formed to connect the uneven portion 5 to the inside of the bottle. With the cap 2 (with a liner 4 inside the main body 3) mounted to the mouth 1 (with an uneven portion 5 on its upper end surface), the liner expands by heat generated when the content is filled at high temp. or heat treated and goes soft. The liner thus plastic-deformed to be compatible with the upper end surface of the mouth 1 is tightly assembled to the cylinder. When cooled, the liner 4 is shrink-deformed and shifts inward to firmly engage the outer periphery surface of the uneven position 5 for high air tightness.</p> |
