PURPOSE:To surely suck high-concentration semen without block with vaginal foreign substances at the time of insertion, by stopping the tip of a catheter tube, and by providing only the cross-sectional unilateral region on the tip side with a side hole communicating with the inside and outside of the tube. CONSTITUTION:After the catheter tube 12 of a catheter 10 is inserted gradually from vaginal 16 into the opening of uterus 17, semen is slowly injected into intrauterine cavity 18. Since the tip of the catheter tube 12 is not open, vaginal foreign substances are prevented from invading into the catheter tube 12 or from adhering to side hole 13, resulting in no block of the semen injection path of the catheter tube 12. When a small volume of semen present on the bottom of a test tube set in inclivation is to be sucked into syringe barrel 11, turning the catheter tube 12 with side hole 13 downward to the bottom of the test tube allows suction of the whole semen. As a result, high-concentration semen can surely be sucked. |
