PURPOSE:To always cut a work orthogonally with prescribed dimensions by providing a sensor in the work feed direction and bringing it into contact with the work to position and converting the moving quantity of the sensor into the voltage and moving a machining head orthogonally to the work feed direction when the voltage attains zero. CONSTITUTION:A differential transformer 2 is set on the intermediate position of the moving range of the sensor 1 so that a voltage level attains zero. The voltage level attains zero at a point of time when the work 5 to be fed comes into contact with the sensor 1 and the distance between the sensor 1 and the machining head 3 at this time is made to cutting dimensions of the work 5. Accordingly, when the sensor 1 is pressed strongly by the work 5, the voltage level of the differential transformer 2 breaks but the distance between the sensor 1 and the machining head 3 which is made to the prescribed cutting dimensions is set on a control means, so it is corrected by a driving motor 4 so that the voltage level attains zero. A voltage level zero signal is outputted from the differential transformer 2 to the control means and a laser beam is projected from the machining head 3 which is moved in the orthogonal direction to the work feed direction to out the work 5. |
