PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a sound under one octave by invalidating current pitch data and inhibiting the frequency control of a sound source device when the tone level of the current pitch data is lower than that of preceding pitch data approximately by one octave. CONSTITUTION: Current pitch data extracted by a pitch extraction means are compared with preceding pitch data stored in a storage means, and when the tone level of the current pitch data is lower than that of the preceding pitch data approximately by one octave, the current pitch data are invalidated and are not stored in the storage means and the frequency control of the sound source device is not executed. Consequently unnatural sound generation, i.e., sound generation under one octave can be prevented. |
