PURPOSE:To obtain a hot melt refractory having high zirconia content and high corrosion resistance and suitable for a glass melting furnace, by limiting the range of component composition of ZrO2, SiO2, B2O3 and P2O5. CONSTITUTION:The aimed refractory containing 85-97wt.% ZrO2, 2-10wt.% SiO2, <=2wt.% B2O3 and 0.05-0.15wt.% P2O5 as a chemical analysis value. Weight analysis value of the refractory is preferably in the range consisting of 90-96wt.% ZrO2, 0.05-0.15wt.% P2O5, 0.03-0.2wt.% B2O3, <1wt.% Al2O3, 3-6wt.% SiO2 and <0.6wt.% Na2O(R2O) and/or <0.6wt.% alkali earth metal. Further more, an alkali metal oxide such as Na2O or K2O and alkali earth metal oxide such as MgO or CaO are preferably reduced as much as possible. Especially, the alkali earth metal oxide is preferably limited to amount of impurity unavoidably contained from a raw material. |
