PROCESS FOR THE RECOVERY AND PURIFICATION OF CEFTAZIDINE

摘要

Ceftazidime was sepd. from aq. solns, by adsorption on a nonfunctional macroreticulated resin at pH 2.0-2.5. Thus, ceftazidime was sepd., in 99.1% purity, by column chromatog. on Ambelite XAD-1180 at pH 3.6 using Me2CO-H2O(15:85) for elution. The pH of the elute was adjusted to 6.0 with 2N NaOH, followed by concn. in vacuum, addn. of 2N H2SO4 to pH 3.6-3.8, and crystallization.
