PURPOSE:To simplify structure, to facilitate maintenance, and to improve reliability on motion, by a method wherein the linear and slewing motions of a tool exchange arm are effected through mechanism interlocking by means of a single drive source. CONSTITUTION:When a moving member 5 is moved forward through the action of a drive source, and a slew shaft 6 is also moved forward. After a first gear 11 at the rear end of a screw shaft 19 is unlocked from a lock member 39 being a slewing regulating member, it is engaged with a second gear 20 of a crew shaft 19, and simultaneously a working shaft 12 is linearly moved in a slewing process. A second gear 20 is moved togetherwith a screw shaft 19 engaged through movement of a nut 16 at the tip of the working shaft 12. A tool exchange arm 10 is slewed through a first gear 11 in a state to be engaged with the second gear 20, and is moved backward togetherwith a slewing shaft through backward movement of a moving member 5. Since, in the backward movement process, the first gear 11 is disengaged from the second gear 20, only racing is effected, and the tool exchange arm 10 is returned to its original position as it is. This constitution enables execution of all tool exchange motions through mechanism interlocking by means of a single drive source. |
