PURPOSE: To analyze a wide range of many types of substances properly by determining the oxidation reduction potential of a liquid electrolyte medium using a field effect device with a light-responding semiconductive electric layer, an insulation layer, and electronic conduction layer. CONSTITUTION: When a piston 32 is operated, a fluid medium 30 to be analyzed is pressed, is passed through a porous pad 12, and contacts an electrical conduction layer 20 of a field effect device, thus resulting in an oxidation reduction potential corresponding to, for example, the concentration of, for example, a reagent to be analyzed of the medium 12. The potential changes the electric field of a surface 46 of a light-responding semiconductive electric layer 16 that is laminated exceeding the layer 20 and an insulation layer 18. Then, when the layer 16 is uniformly subjected to light by an LED 44, a carrier is generated, a photo current is generated, oxidation and reduction potential is determined by a field effect device with a simple configuration where no stray current is generated via the layer 16, and a wide range of various kinds of substance are analyzed properly. |
