The invention relates to an implement comprising a shaft (14), an upper handgrip (10) mounted on the shaft, a load-supporting tool (15), and an auxiliary movable handgrip part (19) including a pair of arms (23, 25) diverging in a direction from first ends to second ends and provided with collars (24, 26) embracing the shaft (14), said implement further comprises means for locking the auxiliary handgrip part (19) in a desired position along the shaft. According to the invention, the arms (23, 25) are connected rigidly to one another such as to define a constant space (a) between the collar-carrying ends of the arms (23, 25); and the space (a) accommodates a friction-lock device (27, 28). |
