PURPOSE:To compensate lowering of engine output caused by decrease in atmospheric pressure by measuring the atmospheric pressure and increasing the target engine speed corresponding to decrease in the atmospheric pressure when the measured atmospheric pressure decreases. CONSTITUTION:A change gear ratio is controlled by a controller 100 as follows. First, the atmospheric pressure is input by an atmospheric pressure sensor, and a correction factor is input for the atmospheric pressure from a graph. The correction factor is 1.0 when the atmospheric pressure is standard atmospheric pressure (1 normal atmosphere), and the set factor is increased as the atmospheric pressure decreases. A target engine speed correspond ing to throttle opening is input and the target engine speed is multiplied by the above correction factor to be corrected. Secondly, speed change control is conducted to agree the actual engine speed with the corrected target engine speed. Accordingly, in case of running on highland where the atmospheric pressure is low, the target engine speed is corrected to be higher corresponding to the atmospheric pressure to compensate for lowering of an engine output. |
