PURPOSE:To improve thermal responsiveness and to obviate the generation of defective fixing by the lowered surface temp. of a roller by using a heat- conductive fluororubber compsn. prepd. by compounding 50-200pts.wt. electrolytic copper powder per 100pts.wt. fluororubber to form a fluororubber layer to be formed on the arbor of the roller. CONSTITUTION:The fluororubber layer of the thermal fixing roller formed by providing the fluororubber layer on the arbor of the roller and coating the fluororubber layer with fluoroplastic is constituted of the heat-conductive fluororubber compsn. formed by compounding 50-200pts.wt., more preferably 80-150pts.wt. electrolytic copper powder per 100pts.wt. fluororubber. The electrolytic copper powder has the effect of improving the thermal responsiveness of the roller and upgrading fixability by enhancing the thermal conductivity of the fluororubber. The sufficient effect is not obtainable if the content of said powder is below 50pts.wt. and conversely, the other characteristics of the roller such as paper passableness and durability are impaired by the excessively increased hardness, the degraded adhesion to the fluoroplastic layer on the front, etc., if the content exceeds 200pts.wt. |
