A pressure container (10) contains an internal container (11) where electrodes (12) are located. Heat exchange tubes (1) are welded to two ring chambers (2,3). Water which is to be heated enters through one or two inlet tubes (4) to the lower ring chamber (2). This is divided into two halves by the middle wall (5), ring chamber (2). This is divided into two halves by the middle wall (5). The water flows through the tube which is connected to one half of the lower ring chamber and then passes up to the upper ring chamber. It then returns to the other half of the lower ring chamber and leaves a pipe (6). A guard plate (7) prevents steam from penetrating the chamber, except for an inlet opening (8). The condensate is collected in the space behind the plate. The condensate level is controlled using a tapping-off arrangement (9). |
