<p>PURPOSE:To increase the mean paper feed speed of a rolled recording media supply device by changing automatically paper feed systems for feeding recording media at every feed operation, when necessary types of recording media are existing in a plurality of the paper feed systems. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of paper feed mechanisms 10 to 30 operate to supply machine glazed paper 11 to 31 sheet by sheet to a light sensitive drum 47 via feed roller pairs 12 to 32 and 16 to 36, and cutter assemblies 13 to 33, and are equipped with sensors S31 to S33 for detecting the types of the machine glazed paper and remnant detecting sensors S11 to S13. And upon judgment that necessary types of machine glazed paper are existing in the paper feed mechanisms 10 to 30, a control unit automatically changes over the paper feed mechanisms 10 to 30 for feeding the machine glazed paper 11 to 31 at every operation of the cutter assemblies 13 to 33 for paper feed. According to the aforesaid system, waiting time for paper feed is eliminated during cutter operation and a mean paper feed speed during continuous paper feed operation can be increased.</p> |
