<p>PURPOSE: To perform an effective processing of an item to be processed and increase a throughput for it by a method wherein there is provided a processing item replacing means for replacing each of a plurality of processing items between a processing item storing means for storing a plurality of items and means for transmitting a plurality of items. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of fixed beams 6, 6 and a plurality of moving beams 9A, 9B, 9A and 9B are arranged in parallel within a main body 1 of a furnace to pass through it. The moving beams 9A, 9B are supported outside the main body of the furnace by columns 10, 10 fixed to a moving frame 11 which can be moved up and down and forward or rearward longitudinal directions. A cassette 40 storing a large number of heated items W is transferred by a beam transferring device 29, mounted on a cassette platform 28, it is transferred one by one from the cassette 40 to moving beams 9A in rows A and B with forks 26, 27, it is moved within the main body of the furnace and then it is heat-treated. The heated items W of which heat treatment is completed are loaded in sequence into a vacant cassette 40 by forks 26, 27 of a transferring device 25 from the moving beam 9B through an accumulating section 36 and a position correcting section 39 and then stuck up on the cassette platform 28.</p> |
