PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noxious gas due to incomplete combustion of gas, by a method wherein, according to outputs from an incoming water temperature sensor, a flow rate sensor, and a temperature setter, the opening of a proportional valve is controlled, and an amount of air for combustion fed by a blower is controlled so that oxygen concentration detected by an oxygen sensor is kept at a given value. CONSTITUTION:In a gas hot water feeder 10, when hot water at temperature set by an user by means of a temperature setter 53 is desired, according to outputs from an incoming water temperature sensor 51 and a flow rate sensor 52 and heat exchanger effectiveness, energy necessary to an increase in temperature is calculated by means of an electronic control circuit 50 to set the opening of a proportional valve 45. A blower 33 is controlled by means of an output from an oxygen sensor 55 and by the electronic control circuit 50 so that oxygen concentration in a burner 31 is converged to a given value. This constitution keeps the combustion state of the burner 31 at normally proper oxygen concentration, enables prevention of the generation of noxious gas due to incomplete combustion of gas, completely fetches combustion energy of gas, and improves economical efficiency. |
