Disclosed is a thermal efficiency enhanced power plant by installing a heat exchanger in front of a boiler water pump. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the thermal efficiency enhanced power plant by installing a heat exchanger in front of a boiler water pump comprises: a steam turbine which allows high-temperature high-pressure steam produced by a boiler to flow thereinto, comprises a blade moved by the steam, and extracts steam by at least one water heater; a condenser to convert steam collected after rotating the steam turbine back into water; a degasser to remove gas in water supplied to the boiler and preheat the water flowing into the boiler; a plurality of water heaters to receive a portion of the steam in the steam turbine, and use the steam supplied from the steam turbine to heat the water supplied to the boiler; a boiler water pump installed on a rear end of the degasser to supply the water to the boiler; and a heat exchanger which is installed between the degasser and the boiler water pump, and exchanges heat between the water discharged from the degasser and the water flowing into the degasser from the low pressure water heaters. |
