PURPOSE:To prepare an eel CHIMAKI (rice dumpling wrapped in bamboo leaves) easy to handle and having excellent hygienicity and appearance, by cooking glutinous rice e.g. by steaming, adding salad oil thereto, forming a rice ball from the mixture, topping the ball with broiled eel dressed with a sauce and wrapping the assembly with a packaging material such as bamboo leaves. CONSTITUTION:Steamed or boiled glutinous rice is mixed with a proper amount of salad oil and a rice ball 1 is prepared from the mixture. The ball is stopped with a broiled eel 2 dressed with a sauce and is wrapped with a packaging material 3 comprising bamboo leaves or sheath to obtain the objective CHIMAKI. The shape of the rice ball 1 is preferably trigonal pyramid, circular column, sphere, etc. |
