PURPOSE:To eliminate the reduction of the color density in a color image by executing the development processing of a color coupler with a developer contg. no benzyl alcohol under <=11.5 pH in the presence of a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:The color coupler is substantially nondiffusible itself, and is composed of a compd. capable of forming or releasing a substantially nondiffusing color matter by an oxidation coupling with an aromatic primary amine color developer. And the development processing is carried out in the presence of a nucleus forming accelerator shown by formula I using the developer which does not contain substantially benzyl alcohol under <=11.5 pH. Thus, the reduction of the color density in the color image is eliminated even in case of processing with the color developer which does not substantially contain the benzyl alcohol, for a short time. |
