PURPOSE:To surface-treat the title molding so as to give thereto a surface free of surface delamination and excellent in an ability to bond to paint or adhesive and adhesion to platings, etc., by bringing an acid solution containing sulfuric acid into contact with a liquid crystal polyester resin molding. CONSTITUTION:A melt-processable polyester (a) of a weight-average MW of 2,000-200,000, which can form an anisotropic molten phase, is mixed with 5-80wt.% finely powdered inorganic filler (b) (e.g., calcium pyrophosphate) of a mean particle diameter of 0.01-100mum, selected from among the elements of Group II of the periodic table, their oxides, sulfates, phosphates, silicates, carbonates, elements of Al, Si, Sn, Pb and Bi and their oxides and, optionally, 1-60wt.% fibrous inorganic substance (e.g., milled fiber) of a diameter of 1-30mum and a length of 5mum-1mm, and the obtained mixture is molded into a liquid crystal polyester resin molding (A). An acid solution (B) containing at least 80wt.% sulfuric acid is brought into contact with component A at 40-80 deg.C for 3-210min. |
