PURPOSE:To automate paper connecting work in a rewinder by detecting automatically a paper connecting position by means of a paper connecting marker and a paper connecting marker detector for performing paper connection in a paper connecting position detecting device of the rewinder of a roll of paper or the like. CONSTITUTION:After a rewinder roll 3 is installed in a main reel rewinder 4, it is rotated by a motor 5. At that time, pulses generated by a pulse generator 10 are counted from a signal 7 detected by a rotation position detector 6 to a signal 9 detected by a paper connecting marker detector 8 to be inputted into a paper connecting position computing circuit 11. Next the roll 3 is operated at a circumferential speed to synchronize with the circumferential speed of a follower rewinder roll 12, and a delay time is calculated to delay the action of a pressure roll 15 based on the result of the circuit 11 and the circumferential speed of the roll 3 by a delay time computing circuit 14, where the delay time is inputted to a pressure roll action computing circuit 16. The roll 15 is activated when a paper connecting position 1 gets close to the roll 15 based on the signal from the circuit 16 and a pressure roll sequence circuit 17. |
