PURPOSE:To lessen double refraction by using a specific arom. polycarbonate copolymer as a core component resin. CONSTITUTION:The arom. polycarbonate copolymer which is the copolymer obtd. from 2 or 3 kinds selected from the bisphenols expressed by the formulas I, II, etc., as monomers and has 60 Brewsters (Brewsters, 10<-12>m<2>/N) optoelastic constant is used as the core component resin. In the formulas I, II, R1, R<2> are hydrogen or alkyl group of 1-6C including branched groups or cyclohexane ring or arom. hydrocarbon group; R3 is a tertiary butyl group; R4 is a methyl group, ethyl group, n-propyl group, iso-propyl group, tert-butyl group. The double refraction of the optical fiber is thereby lessened. |
