A load selector for stepping transformers having a plurality of stationary step contacts which are seated on the inner wall of an outer cylinder and having main and resistance switching contacts which can roll off thereon and are supported by an inner switching tube which can be rotated in steps. The main and resistance switching contacts are arranged one above the other and, in the operating position, rest on one and the same stationary step contact. During the changeover process, one resistance switching contact initially remains on the originally live step contact and a second resistance switching contact comes to rest on an adjacent step contact, switching on a transition resistor. The two resistance switching contacts are arranged together with a third resistance switching contact on a contact carrier which can rotate about its centre point, corresponding to the three corners of an equilateral triangle, and the contact carrier is supported on a bearing block which can be displaced radially with respect to the switching tube. |
