The tape cassette includes a rectangular case having a top wall, bottom wall and a peripheral wall running along the sides of the case. Right-hand and left-hand arcuate guide walls (30b) are provided, and each extends along one of the tape bobbins or spools (20,21). The guide walls are made integral with the floor wall of the lower half (4) of the casing. - The guide walls are between the spools (20,21) behind the central part (30a) of the partitioning wall (30). Such partitions (30) and guide (30b) walls are also provided in the upper half of the casing.
