In a water collecting device of a door 7 of a vehicle body having a roof 1 which does not have a drip moulding above the door 7, a profiled strip 5 which is offset inwards from the outside surface of the roof or vehicle body and is made of elastic material is provided at least at the upper edge of the door opening 3. This profiled strip 5 has an essential U-shaped cross section and is plugged with its internal limb onto a fold 4 in the door opening 3, while the external limb 6 projects beyond the outer surface of the roof or vehicle body when the door 7 is opened, in order to form a collecting channel, open in the upward direction, under the outer edge 2a of the door opening 3. When the door 7 is closed, the external limb 6 of the profiled strip 5 is secured pressed back into the door opening 3 via a fold 8 in the door which projects upwards on the outside of the door. In order to reliably prevent moisture penetrating in the gap between the outer edge 2a of the door opening 3 and the fold 8 in the door, the external limb 6 of the profiled strip 5 extends, when the door is closed 7, as far as the outer edge 2a of the door opening 3 and covers the gap between this outer edge 2a and the fold 8 in the door. <IMAGE> |
