NEW MATERIAL:Antibiotic SF2446A2, A3, B1, B2 substances and salts thereof. SF2446A2 substance, color and shape: redaish brown powder. Elemental analysis (%): C 58.10, H 5.26, N 1.90. Molecular formula; C34H35NO15. Mass spectrum (FD-MS): m/Z 697 (M<+>). Melting point: 180-184 deg.C (decomposition). Color reaction: positive in 10% sulfuric acid and molybdic acid reagent. Solubility: soluble in methanol, chloroform, ethyl acetate and acetone, insoluble in water. Weakly acidic substance. USE:An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive bacteria and Microplasma. PREPARATION:A strain such as Streptomyces sp. SF2446 (FERM P-8980) belonging to the genus Streptomyces is cultivated preferably by submerged culture at 26-30 deg.C for 1-8 days. |
