PURPOSE:To obtain a gelatin composition having decreased insolubilization tendency of gelatin with time without lowering the shape-retainability, by adding a specific amount of a polypeptide to a gelatin having a gel strength falling within a specific range. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding a gelatin having a gel strength of >=250 bloom with 15-70wt.% (based on the total weight) of a polypeptide preferably having a molecular weight of about 5,000-10,000. The composition is used as a capsule or microcapsule for including medicine, packaging sheet or film, binder for tablet, etc., coating agent, etc. |
