The present invention relates to a two stage turbo charger system and a method for controlling a two stage turbo charger system, wherein the system is operated by a boot pressure required by an engine to have rapid and definite response characteristics and to simplify a structure. The system comprises: a high pressure turbine driven by exhaust gas discharged by the engine; a low pressure turbine driven by exhaust gas discharged after the high pressure turbine is driven; a low pressure compressor rotating by the low pressure turbine to primarily compress intake air; a high pressure compressor rotating by the high pressure turbine to secondarily compress the intake air; and a compressor bypass valve controlling opening or closing of an intake bypass pipe which makes air, discharged by the low pressure compressor, bypass the high pressure and flow toward an intake manifold. |
