<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the twisting vibration of a transmission line, by a method wherein the span of a transmission line between transmission towers is divided by a spacer between phases while a damper is attached in a shortened sub-span. CONSTITUTION:Spacers 2 between phases are attached to the transmission lines of respective phases at an intermediate position of transmission towers having a span L to divide the span L into sub-spans L1, L2. Dampers 3 are attached to the transmission lines within the divided subspans L1, L2. The proper twisting frequency of the damper 3 is designed so as to be 0.8-1.25 of the up-and-down vibration frequency of the subspans L1, L2, which are divided and shortened by the spacers 2 between phases. According to this method, the galloping vibration in a long span, which is provided with a large amplitude, may be prevented surely.</p> |
