<p>PURPOSE:To exactly execute the measurement by adding a water absorbent to a slurry material and allowing it to absorb its moisture, leveling it to roughly prescribed thickness, and thereafter, radiating infrared rays and detecting the infrared-ray reflected quantity, and converting the infrared-ray absorbed quantity to the water content of the slurry material. CONSTITUTION:For instance, when a kneaded material from supplying devices 1, 2 and 3 of sand, cement and water is mortar, the mortar which is brought to sampling through a valve 8 is fed to a water content measuring instrument 9. Subsequently, by adding a water absorbent by a screw feeder 10 to the mortar which is led to the instrument 9, a reflection of infrared rays is prevented. Next, the mortar is leveled to roughly prescribed thickness by a weir 12, and thereafter, infrared rays are radiated by an infrared moisture meter 14, the infrared-ray reflected quantity is detected by a sensor, and from the reflected quantity, the infrared-ray absorbed quantity is detected. Thereafter, the infrared- ray absorbed quantity is converted to the water content through a microcomputer 15, and the water content of a slurry material is measured.</p> |
