PURPOSE:To promote the improvement of an emergency tire in its weight lightness, productivity and durability by providing tread land parts to be arranged in at least a side area of a tread and fold back end parts of plies in a carcass to be arranged in a corresponding position within a minimum width of the tread land part. CONSTITUTION:An emergency tire has a carcass 1 of one layer while each ply end 2a, 2b of the carcass 1 to be overlapped in a crown area. While continuing a rib 6 along the circumference of a tread 3 in its central area to be interposed by a pair of peripheral main grooves 7 and extending transverse groove 8 along the width direction of the tread 3 from its end part, two or more tread land parts 9a, 9b are partitioned by the paired peripheral main grooves 7 and the transverse groove 8. In this structure, the tire provides each ply end 2a, 2b to be arranged in the minimum width of each tread land part 9a, 9b. By the structure thus obtained, the emergency tire enables its weight lightness and productivity while durability to be improved. |
