The heating device of this rear view mirror is of the type comprising a metal coating 4 with two thermistors 8, 8' on the rear side of the mirror 2. In order for the device to be easily adaptable to curved rear view mirrors as well and in order that the central portion of the mirror 2 is heated more quickly and more intensely, so that it is preferentially cleared of ice, snow, or mist, the coating 4 is made of copper or of copper alloy and is composed of two parts: a median part 6 in the form of a bridge which is relatively thick, 0.3 mm for example, and a thinner portion 5 which covers almost the entire surface of the mirror. <IMAGE> |
