摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To simplify structure of transmission of a steering power to the rear wheel steering mechanism side, by a method wherein the pinions of a rack and a pinion for front and rear wheels are disposed approximately on a plane in a manner to form an acute angle therewith are disposed to the rack bar of a steering mechanism for steering front wheels. CONSTITUTION:A steering mechanism 1 for front wheels to steer front wheels through a rack and pinion mechanism 5 by means of a steering power exerted on a steering handle 3 is provided with a power steering mechanism 9 with a built-in piston coupled to a rack bar 6. A rod member 14 to transmit a steering power to a rear wheel steering mechanism is coupled to the rack bar 6 through the rack and pinion mechanism 15. In this case, pinions 24 and 29 of the rack and steering mechanism 5 and 15, respectively, engaged with the rack bar 6 are disposed in an engaged manner approximately on the same plane so that an acute angle is formed by their extension lines. The rack bar 6 is pressed and energized by means of a rack press 60 against the side where an acute angle is formed by the extension lines of the pinions 24 and 49.</p>
