PURPOSE: To excellently perform frequency control and sound generation control by providing a compressing means which compresses the crest value of an input waveform signal and a control means which controls a sound source means according to its output. CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer MCP as the control means has memories, e.g. a ROM and a RAM and also has a timer T, and controls a signal to be supplied to a sound source generating device SOB. The sound source generating device SOB as a sound source means consists of a sound source SS, a digital- analog converter D/A, an amplifier AMP, and a speaker SP, and outputs a musical sound of pitch corresponding to note-ON (sounding), note-OFF (muting), and a pitch indication signal from the microcomputer MCP. According to the output of a log converting circuit as the compressing means which compresses the waveform of a waveform signal, sounding, muting, and other control are performed. Consequently, excellent playing effect is obtained by making a sounding time long. |
