PURPOSE:To enhance durability, humidity resistance, and stability against time lapse by forming an electric charge transfer layer comprising a charge transfer material and a plasma-polymerized film. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive body comprises a substrate, a charge generating layer, and the charge transfer layer composed of the charge transfer material and the plasma polymerized hydrocarbon film formed by vapor depositing the charge transfer material or bringing said deposited material into contact with an atmosphere of plasma in a process of forming the plasma polymerized film of an organic hydrocarbon, and incorporating it in the plasma polymerized film, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive body to form a good image with high sensitivity and to be superior in humidity resistance and less liable to change due to time lapse. |
