The adjustable screw driver has a detachable shank (2) with two different tips (21) and a symmetrically-grooved handle (1) on which a flute (11) is set for disposing a wire spring (17) which is attached to the handle by a screw (16) at one end and associated with a control plate (4) by its other end through an aperture (42) of the plate having a square engaging hole (41) at the center. A control plate (3) has a cut (34) on its periphery and is fixed to the bottom of the handle by a screws (31). The shank is received into a tunnel (12) after the control plate is pushed upward by one of its ends so as to align the central opening and the engaging hole as well as the tunnel for reception of the shank.
