PURPOSE:To change the inclination of a phase shift quantity to frequency, by using a coupled line and utilizing the frequency characteristics of its transmission phase in the diode phase shifter used in a phased array antenna. CONSTITUTION:In a switched line diode phase shifter, the coupled line having a narrow line interval as shown by a part A of the third connection line 2C is arranged, and the inclination of a transmission phase phi is utilized to change freely the frequency characteristics of the phase shift quantity. That is, the difference between transmission phase for passing the side of the coupled line 2C and that for passing the side of a shorter linear line 2A is utilized by switching the bias of a PIN diode 3, and therefore, the transmission phase of the coupled line 2C appears as it is. |
