Method and apparatus for the marking of tubes

Run-on bobbins, when removed from bobbin-producing machines, are often provided with markings or labels, so that the material, yarn fineness and production machine can easily be identified. This marking takes place, as a rule, during the removal of the bobbins from the bobbin-producing machine. However, the removal of the bobbins has to be carried out quickly, so as not to detract from the production time of the machine. A new method and apparatus for the marking of tubes are therefore presented. In the method according to the invention, the tubes are assigned unmarked to one of the spinning/winding or winding machines, and marking takes place between extraction from an intermediate magazine and before the feed to individual winding stations. A marking is made on a carrier (4), to be bonded adhesively to the tubes (1), by means of a marking apparatus (100; 200) or directly onto the cavity wall on the inside of the tubes. <IMAGE>
