Brief description with a flower vase by way of example: the vase stands on feet or on a ring provided with cutouts, through which fresh air can penetrate unobstructed into the vase body via an inlet duct situated, in this case, centrally in the vase base. This fresh air is additionally moistened by the water situated in the lower region of the vase. Situated above the water level are holes, through which the used air and foul gases can escape. This is promoted by the outlet opening situated opposite the base. An uninterrupted supply with fresh air and moisture for all plant parts arranged above the water is thus provided. Further use examples: Evaporating effect of, for example, a heating-element humidifier. Freshness-retaining effect without filling the vessel body with water, e.g. for retaining the freshness of foodstuffs (baked products, vegetables and the like). Cooling effect by means of an integrated, exchangeable cooling element. Heat-retaining effect by means of any heat source situated underneath the vessel.
