PURPOSE:To accurately execute automatic exposure and exposure correction to wide object luminance with a simple constitution by shifting an exposure by a correction value from just preceding exposure conditions when the exposure corrections more than a fixed quantity are executed. CONSTITUTION:The object luminance from an optical system 11 is converted into video information through a diaphragm 12 and an image pickup system 13, averaged by a photometric circuit 14 and inputted to an arithmetic control circuit 18 through an A/D converter 17. An appropriate control signal from the circuit 18 controls properly the value of the diaphragm 12 through a driver 15. At this time, when the exposure corrections more than the fixed quantity are executed, in accordance with the conditions of switches 20 and 21 for exposure over and under side corrections, an automatic exposure correction based on a photometric value by a video signal is stopped and a correction to shift the exposure by the correction value from the preceding exposure conditions is executed. |
