PURPOSE:To offer a small-sized apparatus which can provide sharp images, by providing a printer with a means of supplying inks to the respective ink supply parts divided parallel with the ink supply film in the transfer direction, and with a heater. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply film 1 transfers in the direction of arrow A, and the recording head comprising the ink supply film 1, ink supplier 2, and heater 3 transfers in the direction of arrow B. Then, the head performs color recording on a recording paper 4 at the widths of ink supply parts 1a, 1b, 1c, and 1d with yellow (Y), magenta, cyan, and black, respectively. The recording head returns to a recording start position, while the recording paper 4 transfers in the direction of arrow C by one width each of the ink supply parts 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d to record likewise in the direction of arrow B. Recording can be performed simultaneously and color can be selected by controlling electrical signal only; therefore, no mechanical structure is needed for selection of color. Each component of the heater is not mixed with a plurality of colors because of its constant with a particular ink supply part of the film 1. |
